Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cups rice
  • 4 cups water or broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, and parsley.
  2. Mix well and form into small balls.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan and cook meatballs until browned on all sides.
  4. Remove meatballs and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add rice and stir for a couple of minutes.
  6. Add water or broth and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  8. Add meatballs to the rice and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  9. Fluff rice and serve with meatballs on top.
