  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Wood chips for smoking (hickory or oak)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Trim excess fat from the brisket.
  3. Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika to create a rub.
  4. Apply the rub generously on all sides of the brisket.
  5. Place the brisket in the smoker and add wood chips.
  6. Smoke for about 1.5 hours per pound until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).
  7. Wrap the brisket in foil and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
