- 1 whole brisket (10–12 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup beef broth
- Wood chips for smoking (hickory or oak)
Instructions
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- Trim excess fat from the brisket.
- Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika to create a rub.
- Apply the rub generously on all sides of the brisket.
- Place the brisket in the smoker and add wood chips.
- Smoke for about 1.5 hours per pound until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).
- Wrap the brisket in foil and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
