Description
Tassot Cabrit is a flavorful Haitian dish made with fried goat meat. It is marinated in spices and served with a side of rice or plantains.

- 2 lbs goat meat, cut into chunks
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate the goat meat with garlic, onion, thyme, black pepper, salt, paprika, and vinegar for at least 2 hours.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Add the marinated goat meat to the pan.
- Fry the meat until golden brown and cooked through, about 30-40 minutes.
- Remove from heat and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with rice or plantains.
Notes
- For best results, marinate overnight.
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- Use fresh goat meat for better flavor.
