Ingredients

- 2 pounds beef ribs
- 1/2 cup tamarind paste
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, mix tamarind paste, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and chili flakes.
- Rub the mixture over the beef ribs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Sear the ribs on both sides until browned.
- Transfer the ribs to a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake in the oven for 2.5 hours.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
Notes
- Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before serving.
- Serve with rice or vegetables.
- Adjust the chili flakes for spiciness.
