Ingredients

- 4 medium apples, peeled and chopped
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Peel and chop the apples.
- In a pot, combine chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and water.
- Cook over medium heat until the apples are tender, about 15 minutes.
- Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm or cold.
- Great with vanilla ice cream or yogurt.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days.
