Description
Spinach Fatayer are delicious triangular pastries filled with spinach and spices.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sumac
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1 package of dough (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add spinach, salt, pepper, and sumac; cook until spinach wilts.
- Stir in pine nuts and remove from heat.
- Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
- Place a spoonful of spinach mixture in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over to form a triangle and seal the edges.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
- These can be frozen before baking.
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
