Ingredients

  • 500g minced beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 slices white bread, soaked in milk
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon chutney
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Add minced beef and cook until browned.
  4. Mix in soaked bread, raisins, curry powder, chutney, lemon juice, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and smooth the top.
  6. In a bowl, whisk eggs and milk together and pour over the meat mixture.
  7. Place a bay leaf on top.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes until set and golden.
