Description
This recipe uses sourdough discard to create soft garlic bread. You pull the pieces apart for a flavorful side dish.

- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 packet instant yeast
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions
- Mix milk sugar and yeast in a bowl.
- Add sourdough discard and melted butter.
- Stir in flour and salt until dough forms.
- Knead the dough for ten minutes.
- Let the dough rise for one hour.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle.
- Brush with garlic and butter.
- Cut the dough into squares.
- Stack the squares in a loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Notes
- Use room temperature discard for better results.
- Check the bread early to prevent burning.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
