- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 4 cups bread flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
- Mix water honey yeast and sourdough discard in a bowl
- Add bread flour and salt
- Knead the dough for ten minutes
- Cover the dough and let it rise for one hour
- Divide the dough into eight portions
- Shape each portion into a ball and poke a hole through the center
- Boil water and add brown sugar
- Cook each bagel in the water for sixty seconds per side
- Bake the bagels at 425 degrees for twenty minutes
