Ingredients

- 1 cup of dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1 cup of fresh raspberries
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 pre-made chocolate cake layer
Instructions
- Melt the dark chocolate in a bowl over simmering water.
- Whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, beat egg yolks and sugar until thick.
- Add melted chocolate and vanilla to the egg mixture.
- Fold in whipped cream gently.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form.
- Carefully fold egg whites into the chocolate mixture.
- Layer chocolate mousse over the chocolate cake layer.
- Top with fresh raspberries.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
