Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Gruyère cheese on top.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden.
  10. Let it cool slightly before serving.
