Description

A classic Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich made with thinly sliced beef, melted cheese, and sautéed onions.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté until soft.
  3. Add the sliced ribeye steak to the skillet. Cook until browned.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Divide the steak mixture into four portions.
  6. Top each portion with a slice of provolone cheese.
  7. Cover the skillet until cheese melts.
  8. Place the steak mixture into hoagie rolls.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add mushrooms or jalapeños.
