Description
A traditional Palestinian dish featuring sumac-spiced chicken served on flatbread.
Ingredients

- 4 pieces of chicken
- 2 tablespoons sumac
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 4 pieces of taboon bread
- Pine nuts for garnish
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the chicken with sumac, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden.
- Add the chicken to the pan and cook until browned.
- Transfer the chicken and onions to a baking dish.
- Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes until fully cooked.
- Toast the taboon bread lightly.
- Serve the chicken on the bread, garnished with pine nuts and parsley.
Notes
- For best flavor, marinate chicken overnight.
- Adjust sumac according to taste preference.
- Serve with a side of salad or yogurt.
