Mushroom Biryani is a flavorful rice dish made with fragrant basmati rice, mushrooms, and spices.
Ingredients

- 2 cups basmati rice
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons biryani masala
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 4 cups water
- Salt to taste
- Cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse the basmati rice until the water runs clear.
- Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan, add onions, and sauté until golden brown.
- Add mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, yogurt, biryani masala, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add soaked rice and water. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with cilantro.
Notes
- Use fresh mushrooms for best flavor.
- Adjust spices to your taste.
- Serve with raita or salad.
