Description

Moroccan Trid is a savory dish made of shredded pastry filled with lentils and chicken.


Ingredients

  • 200g thin pastry sheets
  • 300g chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 150g lentils, cooked
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté onions until translucent.
  2. Add garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in the cooked chicken and lentils. Mix well and remove from heat.
  4. Layer the pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
  5. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each square.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges.
  7. Fry the filled pastries in olive oil until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with a side of your choice.
