Description
Moroccan Trid is a savory dish made of shredded pastry filled with lentils and chicken.
Ingredients
Scale
- 200g thin pastry sheets
- 300g chicken, cooked and shredded
- 150g lentils, cooked
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté onions until translucent.
- Add garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the cooked chicken and lentils. Mix well and remove from heat.
- Layer the pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
- Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges.
- Fry the filled pastries in olive oil until golden brown.
- Serve warm with a side of your choice.
