Description

Moroccan Trid is a traditional dish made of layered dough and filled with meat and spices.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g of thin flatbread
  • 300g of chicken, shredded
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of ground ginger
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • 1/2 tsp of saffron threads
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
  3. Add chicken, spices, salt, and pepper. Cook until chicken is done.
  4. Layer the flatbread in a round dish.
  5. Add the chicken mixture on top of the bread.
  6. Cover with another layer of flatbread.
  7. Repeat layers until ingredients are used.
  8. Cook on low heat for about 15 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.

  • Adjust spices to your taste.
  • Serve with a side salad.
  • Can be made a day ahead and reheated.
