Description
Moroccan Trid is a traditional dish made of layered dough and filled with meat and spices.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500g of thin flatbread
- 300g of chicken, shredded
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp of ground ginger
- 1 tsp of paprika
- 1/2 tsp of saffron threads
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Add chicken, spices, salt, and pepper. Cook until chicken is done.
- Layer the flatbread in a round dish.
- Add the chicken mixture on top of the bread.
- Cover with another layer of flatbread.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are used.
- Cook on low heat for about 15 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
Notes
- Adjust spices to your taste.
- Serve with a side salad.
- Can be made a day ahead and reheated.
