Description
Modak is a traditional Indian sweet dumpling made from rice flour and filled with a mixture of coconut and jaggery.
Ingredients

- 2 cups rice flour
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 1 cup jaggery
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- 1/2 tsp ghee
Instructions
- Boil water in a pan and add ghee.
- Add rice flour and mix well to form a dough.
- In another pan, melt jaggery with grated coconut and cardamom powder.
- Take small portions of dough and shape them into cups.
- Fill the cups with coconut mixture and seal them.
- Steam the dumplings for about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Make sure the dough is soft and pliable.
- You can use sugar instead of jaggery if preferred.
- Grease your hands with ghee for easy shaping.
