  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden.
  3. Add dried fruits and nuts. Stir for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add rice and cinnamon, mixing well.
  5. Pour in water and add salt. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until rice is cooked.
  7. Fluff rice with a fork before serving.
