Ingredients

- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 3 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup cucumber, sliced
- 1 cup carrots, julienned
- 1 green onion, chopped
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
- Add sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated beef until browned.
- Prepare bowls by placing cooked rice at the bottom.
- Top the rice with cooked beef, cucumber, carrots, and green onion.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust the marinade according to taste.
- Can substitute beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein.
- Serve with kimchi for added flavor.
