Description

Japchae is a Korean dish made with sweet potato glass noodles and beef, stir-fried with vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz sweet potato glass noodles
  • 1/2 lb beef, sliced
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Soak the sweet potato noodles in hot water for 30 minutes.
  2. In a pan, heat sesame oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add sliced beef and cook until browned.
  4. Add onions, carrots, and bell peppers; stir-fry until tender.
  5. Add spinach and cook until wilted.
  6. Drain noodles and add to the pan.
  7. Pour in soy sauce and sugar; mix well.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Add more vegetables if desired.
  • Can substitute beef with chicken or tofu for a different flavor.
