Description
A Japanese Chicken Katsu Sando served on fluffy milk bread.
Ingredients

- 2 boneless chicken thighs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 4 slices of fluffy milk bread
- 1/4 cup tonkatsu sauce
- Shredded cabbage for serving
Instructions
- Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
- Coat chicken in flour, dip in beaten egg, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken and drain on paper towels.
- Spread tonkatsu sauce on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place fried chicken on two slices of bread and top with shredded cabbage.
- Close sandwiches with remaining bread slices.
- Slice sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to your taste.
- Serve with pickles for added crunch.
- Use a meat mallet to flatten chicken for even cooking.
