Description
Inarizushi is a type of sushi made with sushi rice stuffed in sweet fried tofu pockets.
Ingredients

- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/3 cup rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 8 pieces inari tofu pockets
- Optional: sesame seeds, sliced scallions for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Cook the rice with water in a rice cooker or on the stove until tender.
- In a small saucepan, combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Heat until dissolved.
- Once rice is cooked, transfer to a bowl and mix in the vinegar mixture.
- Let the rice cool to room temperature.
- Carefully open the inari tofu pockets.
- Fill each tofu pocket with sushi rice.
- Garnish with sesame seeds or scallions if desired.
Notes
- Use short-grain rice for better texture.
- Adjust sweetness according to your taste.
- Keep filled inari sushi in the refrigerator if not served immediately.
