Description

Halal Mutton Karahi is a traditional Pakistani dish made with tender mutton cooked in a wok-like pan with spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 kg mutton, cut into pieces
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 4 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a karahi.
  2. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden.
  3. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  4. Add mutton pieces and cook until browned.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, and spices. Mix well.
  6. Add water and cover. Cook until mutton is tender.
  7. Uncover and cook until the water reduces.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
