- 6 egg yolks
- 2 cups beef tallow
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
- In a small saucepan, melt the beef tallow over low heat.
- Carefully separate the egg yolks from the whites.
- Gently place the yolks in a small dish or ramekin.
- Pour the melted tallow over the yolks until they are completely submerged.
- Bake in the oven for about 1 hour until the yolks are firm.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the tallow.
- Once cooled, carefully remove the yolks and sprinkle with salt before serving.
Notes
- Store the yolks in the tallow for up to 2 weeks.
- Use them as a garnish for steaks or other dishes.
