Cheese Fatayer are delicious boat-shaped pies filled with cheese.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 cup mixed cheese (feta, mozzarella, or ricotta)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Mix flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
- Add yogurt and olive oil, then mix well.
- Gradually add warm water until dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Divide the dough into small balls.
- Roll each ball into a circle and add cheese filling.
- Fold the dough to form a boat shape.
- Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
