Description

A Bombay Sandwich is a popular Indian street food made with spiced potatoes, fresh cucumber, and tangy chutney.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 medium potato, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons green chutney
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. On the unbuttered side, spread green chutney.
  3. Add mashed potato evenly on top of the chutney.
  4. Place cucumber slices over the potato.
  5. Sprinkle salt to taste.
  6. Cover with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  7. Grill the sandwich on a pan until golden brown on both sides.
  8. Cut into triangles and serve hot.
