Description
Beetroot Kanji is a traditional fermented drink made from beetroots and spices. It is tangy and packed with probiotics.
Ingredients

- 2 medium beetroots, peeled and chopped
- 1 tablespoon black mustard seeds
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1–2 green chilies, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- In a large jar, combine the chopped beetroots and black mustard seeds.
- Add salt and water to the jar.
- Mix well to dissolve the salt.
- Add roasted cumin powder and green chilies if using.
- Cover the jar with a cloth and let it sit at room temperature for 3-5 days.
- Once fermented, strain the liquid and store it in the refrigerator.
- Serve cold and enjoy.
